Fahrenheat Fuh54 External Thermostat
As the title demonstrates, here we will introduce to you how you
can install the external thermostat in a Fahrenheit FUH54 Garage Heater.
Whether your thermostat of Fahrenheit FUH54 garage heater has some problem and
you want to replace it or you want to install another external thermostat for
better temperature regulation her we will step by step guide you how to fix the
thermoset and install another Fahrenheat fuh54 external thermostat.
Components and Parts required:
- Contactor.
- Wires of 10 AWG.
- 30 Ampere Circuit Breaker.
- A Thermostat(CT410B) for FUH54 Garage Heater
Procedure:
The wire from your heater is going into the breaker box which
has a 30A circuit breaker wired to a distribution box from there it will go
into the ceiling of your garage. Where you will have to introduce this external
thermostat. Now keep one thing in mind that before removing the wires from the
internal thermoset of your heater take the picture of it as it will help you
when you wire it with the new external thermostat.
Now you have to buy some extra wire as t it will go to your
external thermostat, after wiring the thermostat you can end up this wire
connection in your distribution box.
Now you have to add a Contactor, that should be fixed
inside the heater, since the Thermostat (CT410B) is of only 22A rating, whereas
the heater is rated at 30A. The switch interrupts L1 to the Thermostat, and
with the internal thermostat, it simply replaced by the Fahrenheatfuh54 external thermostat (CT410B).
The L1 circuit controls the heating component, and L2 controls
the fan, which should turn on/off consequently according to the set temperature
of the unit. The Thermostat, will just control L1 (for example if I wire L2
into the four-wire Thermostat, in which case the thermostat the whole movement
of the knob in counterclockwise would result in burning of the unit totally, so
do not connect the 120 or 240 Volt together it first goes through the element
and then secondly, the thermostat should be between power from the Ac supply
and the heating element, to effectively control the temperature.
